ABOUT THE POSITION: The Commercial Manager plays a pivotal role in subcontractor contract management ensuring alignment with Fluence's commercial standards and broader regulatory compliance. This role involves driving the process for contractual compliance to ensure optimal contractual, finance, and relationships with our subcontractors for new BESS projects. This new role will be joining a growing team and be focused on opportunities ranging from long term service contracts to full turnkey EPC contracts ranging from $50 million to $250 million AUD. Major Responsibilities: Lead commercial governance during the project phase, collaborating closely with the project team, legal, engineering, sales leads and procurement. Closing commercial negotiations with suppliers and governing the subcontract execution. Providing guidance and practical support in claims, EOT, contract correspondence and contract administration. Actively manage contractual risks and opportunities. Assisting in dispute matters with all relevant parties within the organisation which would include legal, project team and procurement. Build strong relationships with our subcontractors. Some ad hoc travel may be required domestically. Qualifications and Experience: A minimum of 5 years managing large-scale projects is required, preferably in the energy, infrastructure or construction sectors. Demonstrated experience in contract management for EPC, D&C or LTSA. Proven expertise in contract negotiation and project risk management. Proficient in project management practices. Proven ability to engage with senior leadership. Exceptional organisational and time management skills. Demonstrated experience to autonomously contract manage complex agreements. Strong financial reporting skills and ability to analyse financial information. Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. A proactive, energetic individual with a keen appetite for knowledge and problem-solving. Required Education and Training: Bachelor's degree in relevant field (Business, Law, Finance, Accounting, Engineering or Construction Management).
