Latrobe Regional Health (LRH) currently has an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified Human Research Ethics and Governance (HREC/RGO) Officer to join our Research and Clinical Trials team. This position will be on a part time, fixed term basis of up to 0.8EFT until early May 2026. The HREC/RGO Officer will assist in the process of research governance applications and perform the administrative tasks to facilitate the Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC) and ensure the Research Governance runs efficiently and effectively.
This includes processing applications and managing the reporting and completion of documentation for research projects and site-specific applications (SSA), including liaising with our affiliate sites, sponsors and external partners.
About you Ideal candidates for this role will have:
Experience in administrative and clerical support. A comprehensive knowledge of MS Office Suite of products including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Publisher and internet and email. Experience in the production of data reports. The ability to communicate and correspond effectively with internal and external research applicants. The ability to organise and prioritise workload to meet deadlines. The ability to provide secretarial support to regular Research and Clinical Trial Unit meetings. Be well organised with great time management skills. High attention to detail and production of accurate work. Commitment to the provision of customer focused services. LRH cares for a population of about 300,000 and is the regional provider of specialist services. Our catchment covers 42,000 square kilometres, from Phillip Island to Mallacoota in the far east of Victoria. LRH offers cardiac care, surgery, medical, renal, emergency care, aged care, women's and children's services, pharmacy, allied health and rehabilitation. Medical and radiation oncology are offered by the Gippsland Cancer Care Centre.
