Purpose of the role We're excited to offer a Manager, Project Delivery opportunity on a 12-month contract basis, joining the people leadership team in our EPMO. In this dynamic role, you'll oversee the end-to-end management of Strategic Roadmap initiatives, from defining objectives to ensuring successful implementation. Leading a team of up to 10 Project Managers and Business Analysts, you'll foster a high-performance culture while managing budgets, risks, and stakeholder relationships. Your focus on quality and continuous improvement will enhance our EPMO capabilities and ensure deliverables meet the highest standards, supporting our organisational strategic objectives. Overseeing the end-to-end management of Strategic Roadmap initiatives, from initiate to implement; this includes defining program objectives, developing program plans, creating and managing budgets, identifying risks and issues, and implementing effective mitigation strategies. Establishing EPMO governance, setting performance metrics, and monitoring progress against initiative goals. Fostering a collaborative and high-performance team culture. Leading a large team of Project Managers and Business Analysts including mentorship and coaching, development reviews, setting targets, performance management and resource allocation/workforce management. Acting as a primary point of contact for key stakeholders, including establishing and maintaining relationships, managing expectations, and communicating initiative progress and results. Working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure initiative dependencies are managed effectively, and that stakeholders are engaged and aligned throughout the delivery lifecycle. Ensuring initiative deliverables meet established quality standards in accordance with the EPMO Framework. Driving and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the EPMO, which may include opportunities to streamline processes, enhance tools and templates, and implement best practices. Staying abreast of industry trends and emerging practices in project management, and proactively apply this knowledge to enhance EPMO delivery capabilities. What are we looking for? Well-developed leadership skills and experience, with the capability to manage, support, and mentor a large, diverse team. High proficiency in using project management software, tools, and techniques to effectively plan, execute, and monitor programs and projects. This may include tools such as Atlassian (i.e. Confluence and Jira), Microsoft Project, or other similar software. Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, with the ability to make informed and timely decisions based on thorough analysis, critical thinking, and sound judgment. Demonstrated ability to analyse and interpret initiative data, metrics, and performance leading indicators to assess progress, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions. Experience in risk management principles and practices, including identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with project delivery. This may involve developing risk management plans, conducting risk assessments, and implementing risk mitigation strategies. Strong understanding of financial concepts and ability to manage program and project budgets, financial forecasts, and financial reporting. Experience in a similar role within the banking/financial services sector will be highly regarded. What can you expect from us?
