Job Summary:
We are currently seeking highly professional and experienced Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs) to work in various long-term and acute care facilities in the Kingston area.
This opportunity offers above-average wages, travel compensation, and accommodation. RPNs will be required to work early morning, afternoon, evening, and overnight shifts with consistent hours and a set schedule until further notice.
Responsibilities:
* Provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician's orders, resident plan of care, and within the scope of practice of an RPN.
* Utilize sound nursing practice principles to ensure delivery of excellent nursing and personal care in assigned home areas.
* Ensure timely and accessible admissions for residents, including comprehensive orientation to the home and services offered.
* Ensure safekeeping of drugs and narcotics, adhering to protocols on all assigned shifts.
* Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to meet physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs of residents.
Requirements:
* Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
* Able to work with persons having infectious diseases.
* BLS Certificate.
* Valid First Aid & CPR.
* Proof of current immunizations for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella (MMRV), as well as Hepatitis B and negative TB skin test within one year.
* Current Vulnerable Sector Police Check.
* Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
* Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
* Availability to work flexible shift times (8 or 12 hours in length) depending on facility requirements.
* Ability to 'float' between units within a hospital based on facility need.
* Reliability in accepting and honoring agreed-upon placements at facilities/units.
* Compliance with RhynoCare Healthcare shift acceptance/cancellation policy.
