About the Role:
WorkPac are seeking an experienced Enabling Supervisor to join the team at Rio Tinto based in Dampier. This role offers an 8/6 roster, FIFO from Perth for a 24 month duration.
Key duties and responsibilities:
* A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
* Providing leadership & guidance to our contracting teams and engaging with them on a regular basis
* Driving a strong safety culture across our contracting teams
* Leading safety discussions and pre-starts
* Leading productivity improvement within the team
* Developing and coaching the team achieve business performance objectives
* Engaging and communicating with multiple stakeholders to align and deliver team objectives
* Frontline Management
* Coach and mentor contractors to ensure compliance with HSEQ, CM policies, processes and procedures
* Ability to work in high pressure environments
* Allocate staff and material resources to ensure works are completed with optimum maintenance outcomes
* Identifying and managing hazards in the workplace and reporting them both to employees and management with actions to rectify.
* Ensuring that reports, records, timesheets and invoices are submitted to Superintendent ensuring that there is alignment to expectations on budget and forecast ensuring staff are paid correctly and on time.
Skills and Experience required:
* Civil (Bulk earthworks) experience desirable
* Contractor management experience
* Experience in a leadership role
* Strong safety values
* Material logistics
* Quality assurance
* Strong communication skills
* C class drivers licence
