25 Hours a week Part-time within a leading defense technology team, based off-site in Victoria and on-site in Fishermen's Bend. Suitable for experienced Defence Ballistics Firing Officers to lead ballistic test evaluations for defence acquisition projects.
* Requires experience Ballistics Firing Officer qualifications or relevant industry training and experience, and Australian Citizenship essential (for security Clearances)

A normal day
* Manage and be responsible for the movement, accountability, and use of military explosive ordinance (EO) in compliance with defence regulations to meet test schedules.
* Set up, operate, and maintain cartridge-based and powder breech weapon systems for live-fire testing in accordance with safe operation test procedures.
* Provide technical leadership and expertise to support the safe conduct of field firing and indoor range experimental test activities
* Contribute to the planning and execution of test and evaluation activities, including preparing ballistic test structures and instrumentation systems for data capture and post-test analysis.
Your next employer is The Defence Science Technology Group (DSTG) vehicle survivability team. Responsible for assessing the survivability and ballistic protection of military platforms for Land and Maritime projects. They conduct live-fire tests on armor materials and protection systems against various kinetic threats.
You will need
* Requires and range safety and relevant ballistics firing officer qualifications
* knowledge in handling remote weapon systems.
* Strong understanding of military test and evaluation standards.
* Proven experience in safe conduct of ballistic tests.
* Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
* To be an Australian Citizen (ESSENTIAL)
