The opportunity
As we look to accelerate our growth, we are seeking a Technical Director – Ports and Maritime to lead and shape our maritime business in Melbourne. This is a key role that will see you take responsibility for helping to grow our existing maritime business in Victoria and across the wider region.
You will be part of a team of highly skilled professionals who will support you as you further develop your technical, client management and job management skills. You will work on a wide variety of port and coastal engineering projects in Melbourne and across Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.
This role involves:
* Maintaining and developing strong relationships with clients and industry partners.
* Providing technical leadership in the maritime sector.
* Leadership of complex maritime projects across the wider region.
* Developing a culture of outstanding delivery within the team.
* Business development activities from the early identification of opportunities through to their active pursuit and securing of projects with clients and industry partners.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will need senior-level experience in port/marine infrastructure projects in a consulting environment. You will be a Chartered Civil (or similar) Engineer (CPEng or equivalent) and a Registered Professional Engineer in Victoria, with a solid career in consulting in the maritime structures sector.
You will be familiar with Australian and local codes and technical standards applicable to the design development of marine structures, as well as international codes and standards applicable to the maritime business.
