Site and Service:
Whyalla Hospital and Health Services is a large regional hospital comprising of 75 beds including flex beds and a designated High Dependency Unit. The hospital provides a wide range of services, including emergency, medical and surgical, maternity, rehabilitation, mental health, and outpatients. Whyalla Hospital’s Cancer Resource Centre is one of the largest in regional South Australia, including six chemotherapy chairs, outpatient care, and counselling services. It is also one of three stroke services in regional SA, providing specialised treatment for suitable stroke patients 24/7, supported by metropolitan stroke units. Our staff work in close partnership with community health services and Aboriginal health providers to ensure that optimum care is delivered to all areas of the community.

About the Role:
Step into a transformative role as a TCP Allied Health Professional - Occupational Therapist, where your clinical expertise and specialized knowledge will drive the planning, implementation, and evaluation of a comprehensive range of services tailored to meet the needs of our local community.
In this role, you’ll operate with increased autonomy, guiding and mentoring less experienced allied health professionals, assistants, and students while being an integral part of a dynamic multi-professional team. You'll employ a blend of preventative strategies, early interventions, and advanced treatment approaches to deliver exceptional care and improve outcomes.
About You:
* Must hold a recognised qualification within a relevant Allied Health profession and be eligible for practicing membership of the relevant Professional Association.
* Apply professional expertise, developing generalist/specialist knowledge, clinical competence and experience to provide professional services to client groups in circumstances requiring increasingly complex practice skills.
* Exercise professional judgment in the selection and adaptation of established methods, procedures, and techniques within the profession.
* Manage and prioritise personal workload and support others in developing workload management plans, including in the allocation of team resources.
Immunisation Risk for this position is - Category A (direct contact with blood or body substances).
