About The Role Ventia have been engaged by the DJCS (Department of Justice and Community Safety) to provide integrated Facility Management services incorporating planned, preventive, and reactive maintenance services, ad hoc services, and soft services including cleaning, ground, pest, and waste streams. The Refrigeration/Air Conditioning Technician will play a key role in the team and operate across the Barwon Precinct (Lara, VIC region) of facilities for planned, reactive, remedial and ad-hoc maintenance activities across the sites. We are also seeking Trade Assistants, Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, and Painters to support these facilities.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Participate in a multiskilled team for delivery of high quality facility management and maintenance services Complete planned maintenance activities across Refrigeration/Air Conditioning systems associated with large facilities Identify and rectify equipment and infrastructure faults in a time critical environment Diagnose electrical and mechanical defects and malfunctions Inspect and maintain refrigerators and chilled water supply systems as required Minor works including assembly, installation, testing, and maintenance of heating, cooling, and refrigeration equipment and appliances Work order management for all works completed within required timeframes High standards across compliance and driving safety, health, environment, and quality in your work About You: You will be qualified and have experience in Refrigeration/Air Conditioning working in a time critical environment with a focus on both planned and reactive maintenance. You will also possess:
ARTIC licence, Refrigerant handling licence, VBA licence Connect and Disconnect electrical licence Knowledge of BMS Systems Experience with integrated systems (HVAC and Fire) Demonstrated experience in time critical rectification and reporting Capability in maintaining scheduled work plans High standards across compliance and driving safety, health, environment, and quality (SHEQ) in your work A current unrestricted drivers' licence Be able to complete and pass a National Police Check and Medical Be able to evidence full covid vaccinations Nice to Have: Working at Heights Scissor and boom lift licence Experience with integrated systems (HVAC and Fire) Diversity We acknowledge the importance of our people's diverse experiences, talents, and cultures.
