We are seeking a Dental Nurse on a part-time basis to join our small dynamic dental team.
Our Practice
Located in the heart of Haberfield Village in Sydney's Inner West our practice is synonymous with dental care in Haberfield since 1922.
Our patient care and comfort is our highest priority and our team is committed to delivering a high quality service for all our patients.
Our surgery includes two treatment rooms, reception and sterilisation room all which offer our patients a comprehensive range of dental treatments from smile enhancements to routine family check-ups.

At the helm is Principal Dentist, Dr Matthew Salameh and Associate Dentist, Dr Lisa Huynh each passionate in the field of dentistry and renowned in the local community often referred to as 'The Smiley Dentists'.
A Day in the Life
The Dental Nurse role is multifactorial requiring mainly nursing skills with some front desk management and patient communications.
General nursing skills including:
* Patient care
* Treatment room set up and pack down
* Sterilisation duties
* General tidying and up keep of the surgery
Front desk management including:
* Answering phone call queries and scheduling appointments
* Greeting and welcoming patients
* Sending out patient communications for bookings and recording all notes with any patient contact
* Updating medical history forms
* Scanning and filing patient information
* Sending and receiving specialist referrals
* Managing patient payments and settling daily accounts
Basic Qualifications
The successful applicant must:
* Have sound knowledge and understanding of the dental field
* Experience in using the Dental 4 Windows program
* Have a genuine interest in all areas of dentistry with a willingness to learn new skills
* Understand the importance of putting the patient needs first
* Be able to work independently and show initiative when required
* Have great organisation skills with an ability to multi-task
* Have exceptional communication and customer service skills
* Ability to contribute to the culture of the practice by working collaboratively as a member of our team
* Be punctual, flexible, reliable and caring
This part time position is for 3 to 4 days per week, initially Wednesday to Friday, with a scope to increase hours.
Working hours are from 8.30am - 5.30pm, however these hours may vary, so flexibility is paramount.
