This role offers the opportunity to manage complex and major projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget. Key Responsibilities: Project Delivery: Lead the end-to-end delivery of multiple projects, including complex and major ICT projects. Ensure projects align with organisational methodologies, controls, and requirements. Oversee full project implementation, including business change and benefits realization. Stakeholder Management: Foster exceptional working relationships with key stakeholders across multiple organisations and disciplines. Develop resource plans in collaboration with the Manager, PMO, and the Manager, Resources. Manage internal and external project resources and service providers. Project Execution: Deliver projects in accordance with approved baselines (scope, time, cost, quality, and benefits). Adhere to university procurement, risk, and finance guidelines, policies, and processes. Documentation and Reporting: Produce and maintain high-quality project documentation for key stakeholders, including executive-level reports. Contribute to the continuous improvement of PMO processes, documentation, and toolsets. Budget and Schedule Management: Manage project budgets and schedules, preparing financial status reports for management and university executives. Provide regular reporting on variances to scope, budget, timeline, and business case. Data and System Security: Ensure the protection of university data and systems by adhering to published policies, standards, and processes. Report any suspected breaches, vulnerabilities, or security issues to the information security team. Compliance and Safety: Participate in all university, team, and individual planning activities. Comply with university policies and practices in all aspects of work and conduct. Ensure the safety and wellbeing of yourself and others by adhering to OSH and EO requirements. What you'll need to succeed Qualifications: Postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline and extensive relevant experience or equivalent level of expertise gained from a combination of experience, training, or professional accreditation. Proven experience in managing complex and major projects, particularly with an ICT focus. Strong leadership and mentorship skills. Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities. Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools. Commitment to continuous improvement and high-quality documentation. Experience: At least 7 years of increasing responsibility in the information technology sector, including significant experience managing and leading a team. Demonstrated extensive experience managing large and complex ICT projects, incorporating project and change management principles and integrating user and technical input to achieve business outcomes.
