We are now looking for a Management Accountant to join our dynamic team in Australia & New Zealand.
This full-time role will report to the Finance Manager ANZ and be responsible for financial reporting, auditing, and project controlling to ensure high-quality outcomes for internal stakeholders, as well as creating positive relationships with customers and other external stakeholders with the Company.
This role will be located at Suite 2.04, Level 2, 21 Solent Circuit, Norwest, NSW 2153
Your role: Coordinating month-end close and reporting, according to the group timelines.Overseeing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and streamlining the current processes.Leading the annual audit & YE group reporting as per required timeline.Providing insightful commentary on month-end results & management reporting.Reviewing and streamlining the current financial processes and policies.Monthly rolling forecast & variance analysis.Ensuring timely recoverability of debtors through effective debtor reviews & actions.Conducting profitability reviews to identify opportunities for improvement.Identifying and implementing cost control initiatives.Overseeing banking and treasury activities, including proactive cash flow forecasting & management, hedging, bank guarantees.Collaborating with operational & project teams for budgeting & forecasting.Coordinating tax, annual returns, licensing and other compliance matters, including BAS, FBT, income tax returns & CbC reporting.Providing guidance to project cost coding and management of Concur system.Calculation of internal labour cost and wages recoveries.Reviewing project margin & ensuring accuracy of margin forecast.Discussing any potential risk with project managers.Management of inventory and annual stock take.Tracking expenses and assisting with future cost forecasts.Monitoring project status and enabling billing of customers on time upon project manager's approval.Coordinating with overseas project managers for onshore cost and back charge tool.Preparing and uploading project data to Global Reporting Tool.Updating project report for cost to date and assisting with project forecasting.Monitoring project progress and addressing potential issues.Ad hoc tasks as assigned by the Finance Manager.Work Health and Safety Responsibilities As far as is reasonably practicable comply with relevant statutory and legal requirements relevant to your position.Maintain a safe working environment by ensuring that your actions do not put yourself or your co-workers in harm's way.Understand and co-operate with SSI SCHAEFER policies, procedures and instructions.Assist SSI SCHAEFER to continuously improve the Work Health & Safety system by providing feedback including timely reporting of hazards, incidents and injuries via business reporting processes.The person holding this position should have a minimum of 10 years financial accounting experience in a project-based environment as a senior accountant, and be CA or CPA qualified.
This person should have a willingness to dive into the details and take a hands-on approach with a strong "can-do" attitude and be willing to find solutions for new assignments.
They must have a mindset of continuous improvement and a passion to contribute to change.
The person should enjoy interacting with key stakeholders at all levels, bridging the gap between financial and operational aspects of the business.
Skills: Strong technical accounting and reporting skills.Problem solver with ability to deliver process improvements within the team.Ability to manage conflicting demands to meet deadlines.Highly capable communicator both verbal and written as the position requires dealing with management and auditors.Computer literacy, especially advanced MS Excel skills.Advantageous to have experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX & SAP Concur systems.Experience: A minimum of 10 years financial accounting experience.Experience in a project-based environment as a senior accountant.Experience in leading a team.Educational Qualifications: Chartered Accountant or Certified Practising Accountant.
