HVCCC is an innovative organisation that uses cutting-edge digital technology to plan, coordinate, monitor and report on one of the most complex and economically significant supply chains in the world.About the RoleReporting to the CEO, and as a key member of the executive leadership team, the Capacity and Performance Manager drives collaboration, strategic planning and continuous improvement of the coal chain.Leading a high performing team, this role is responsible for modelling and analysing existing and prospective scenarios using cutting-edge technology and ingenuity, delivering value-adding insights and solutions in a highly complex and dynamic environment.The Capacity and Performance Manager will also possess knowledge of supply chains and will display confidence in presenting recommendations for improvement solutions at both ELT and board level.Key ResponsibilitiesExecutive Leadership: Contribute wholeheartedly to executive team and business strategy, policy and management improvements to stay ahead of emerging challenges.Strategic Planning: Overseeing the operation and continuous evolution of complex simulation modelling and reporting to deliver long-term capacity planning and system efficiencies, aligned with industry requirements.Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with stakeholders, using influence and facilitation to deliver timely, data-driven solutions that meet diverse and evolving needs.Continuous Improvement: Drive innovation and transformation through the adoption of new technologies, methodologies, and best practices, underpinned by comprehensive data analysis.Team Leadership: Inspire and empower a high-performing team focused on delivering value to member organisations and achieving organisational objectives.Operational Excellence: Lead the execution of coal chain master planning, forecasting, and capacity impact assessments to optimise throughput and efficiency amid changing capacity, demand and contractual profiles.Cultural Development: Embody HVCCC’s values, promote employee engagement and wellbeing, and contribute to a top-tier workplace culture.Qualifications and ExperienceTertiary qualifications in engineering, logistics, or equivalent, or equivalent experience in executive management roles in logistics, supply chains, or related sectors.Proven ability to manage complex technical operations, leveraging computer science, data and analysis to drive continuous improvement initiatives through to practical implementation.Strong leadership skills, with experience building and leading high-performing teams in collaborative environments, connecting diverse and skilled individuals to a shared purpose and values.Exceptional communication and relationship-building capabilities, especially in complex stakeholder settings.Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to identify opportunities for improvement and implement impactful solutions.What We OfferThis role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of a critical industry by driving innovation and operational excellence.
