The Role Reporting to the Senior Reliability Engineer - Concentrator Maintenance, this is a residential role in Mount Isa, working a 5/2, 4/3 roster. The primary responsibility of this position consists of working through optimisation of maintenance strategies, conducting failure investigations, maintaining and enhancing the condition monitoring program etc. The team includes a condition monitoring technician and mechanical engineers of varying experience. Plant equipment includes centrifugal and positive displacement pumps, conveyors, ball and sag mills, cyclones, filter presses etc. The team is supported by a Mount Isa based Asset Management team which provides governance and technical support across the regional assets. Key Responsibilities: Utilising condition monitoring data to manage and report on equipment risk.Managing statutory equipment with assistance from the Asset Management team.Optimising reliability, eliminating losses, maximising utilisation and asset life in a safe and cost-effective manner.Responsible for minor improvement projects around the Concentrator.Review, develop and align maintenance strategies.Work with production, maintenance and other stakeholders to identify and develop engineering solutions to reduce repetitive failures and issues that adversely affect plant operations.An understanding in maintenance management systems (SAP), experience with 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks and proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of programs, as well as demonstrated experience in Root Cause Analysis, Reliability Centred maintenance and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis is desirable.Assist in mentoring graduate engineers and vacation students. Required Skillset and Attributes: Bachelor's degree - Mechanical Engineering.Proactive, self-motivated, result driven individual with excellent communication skills.The ability to work under pressure in a multi-disciplinary team.Focus on safety through care rather than compliance.Ability to work autonomously. Desirable Experience: 2 years' experience in a heavy industrial environment.Experience in condition monitoring - vibration and oil analysis, thermography, NDT etc.Experience/Proficiency in SAP.
