Join a Council located in Northern Sydney, as a Supervisor - Civil Maintenance.
Local Government offers RDO's every fortnight and stability in contract roles with potential for extension or transition into a permanent role.
This role will be 38 hours per week with occasional weekend work.
ABOUT THE POSITION.
As a Supervisor you will be responsible for the coordination and management of work crews to carry out the pre-planning and delivery of civil infrastructure works including roads, footpaths, stormwater drainage, both greenfield and brownfield maintenance.
DUTIES.
Train, develop and motivate staff to ensure team objectives are achieved Supervise labour, cost estimates, work programs and risk management Schedule materials and upkeep of relevant management plans Manage staff and carry out annual staff performance assessments SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE.
Certificate III in Civil Construction, or relevant qualifications Previous experience as a Supervisor is preferred Significant knowledge of road, footpaths and stormwater maintenance Interpersonal and great communication skills to communicate effectively and lead your team CULTURE.
