Consultant Interventional Cardiologist | Palmerston North | New Zealand $220,000 - $220,000 a year Full time Seeking an experienced consultant interventional cardiologist for a full time job in a regional general hospital with a wide range of medical and surgical services in the public sector located in a region with an excellent lifestyle, from scenic hiking spots to great schools. Position Highlights: Full time permanent employment contract with a leading public sector healthcare organisation. 40 hour working week plus on call duties. This post requires the ability to develop an interventional cardiology service from scratch as part of a Regional Cardiac Strategy. Cardiology Service currently provides diagnostic angiography, pacing, echocardiographic services, CTCA and CMRI, an integrated heart failure service and inpatient service. Requires proven clinical experience as well as demonstrated understanding of departmental development and the provision of strong clinical governance. Professional Requirements: Fellowship of the Australia and New Zealand College of Physicians (FRACP) (or equivalent overseas qualification). Medical Degree recognised by WHO. Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand, or be eligible for vocational or provisional vocational registration in the scope of general medicine. Subspeciality training in cardiology and interventional cardiology. Extensive clinical experience.
