Bar AttendantPermanent Role $60-70K PA Cairns QLDPOSITION:Full-time position for a Bar Attendant is available in Cairns City 4870 QLD.SKILLS: You must have a least a relevant AQF (or equivalent) Certificate II or above + 12 months relevant experience.
If no relevant qualification, at least 2 years of relevant work experience is required.RESPONSIBILTIES:As the Bar Attendant, you are responsible for providing excellent customer service, ensuring that patrons have an enjoyable experience while maintaining a clean, safe and efficient bar environment.
This role involves preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, handling cash and card transactions and supporting bar operations.TASKS:Customer Service:Take drink orders and serve customers in a professional and timely manner.Provide general waiting duties, ensuring a high level of customer service at all times.Respond to customer requests and offer assistance where needed.Promote the venue's services and facilities when appropriate.Make all customers feel welcome and valued.Checking customer ID's to ensure responsible service of alcohol.Drink Preparation:Prepare a range of drinks, including cocktails, in line with company standards.Ensure garnishes and other drink accompaniments are prepared correctly.Bar & Table Maintenance:Clean and maintain the bar area, ensuring all surfaces are tidy and well-organised.Clean tables, pick up glasses, and maintain a clutter-free environment.Ensure proper care and cleaning of glasses and bar equipment.Stock control duties, such as replenishing bar stock, rotating inventory and maintaining beverage storage.Cash Handling:Use EFTPOS and cash registers to process transactions accurately.Handle money responsibly and reconcile transactions at the end of the shift.Health & Safety:Practice proper workplace health and safety procedures.Follow all relevant laws, including those related to liquor service, and comply with company policies and procedures.General Responsibilities:Undertake any incidental or peripheral duties as requested by the employer.Work cooperatively with the kitchen team, venue management, and other staff.REQUIRED SKILLS & BEHAVIOURS:Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) qualification.Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.Ability to work independently and under limited supervision.Strong communication skills, able to interact politely with staff, management, and customers.Ability to handle stressful situations and work in a fast-paced environment.SALARY:$60,000 - $70,000 based on experience.TO APPLY:Applications in Word format should be forwarded to us by clicking the 'Apply' button below.
