Pinnaroo, SA Our client is one of the largest family farming groups in South Australia and New South Wales.They are currently on the lookout for senior experienced Light Vehicle Motor Mechanics to join their successful team in South Australia.The role will include assisting the workshop with mechanical repairs on all brands of vehicles and machinery as well as managing other light vehicle mechanics.The Motor Mechanic is responsible for servicing, diagnosing, maintaining and repairing light vehicles.Key Responsibilities include: • Ensure reactive and preventative maintenance, servicing and repair requirements are met in accordance with maintenance schedules (including oil changes, transmission fluids, air filters, tire changes etc.)• Identify, test and repair different types of mechanical and electrical failures on vehicle engines, and machinery.• Fault diagnostics and testing parts • Performing repairs and replacing defective worn or parts • Dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and checking parts • Advise and lead other light vehicle motor mechanics • Reassembling engines and parts after repair Qualifications required: • Experience within a similar role as a senior motor mechanic • Qualified mechanic (AQF certificate Ill or equivalent) • At least 3 years of fulltime experience • Have a good eye for detail • Must have intermediate or above computer skills • Demonstrated ability to work cohesively as part of a team • Demonstrate ability to lead the team • Well developed communication and interpersonal skills • Must be able to comply with all OHS policies and procedures.• Be motivated and able to achieve targets An attractive remuneration will be based upon applicant's experience, ability to manage and lead light vehicle motor mechanics.Only successful applicants will be contacted.
