In this key role, you'll be providing legal and technical support to the Dispute Resolution and Registry teams at WIC. Working closely with the Senior Legal Officer (SLO) and Principal, Dispute Resolution, you will provide a consistent specialist support service including quality advice and correspondence about specific alternative dispute resolution processes.As part of our legislative requirements, you will assist with case specific issues, analyse and collate material, conduct legal research and prepare concise and well-researched reports to support well-informed and sound decisions.You will bring your experience and track record in delivering high-quality matter-specific and general legal research outcomes. In addition, you will contribute your knowledge and experience with alternative dispute resolution procedures of Parliamentary, judicial, or legal processes along with your demonstrated legal research skills.Who we're looking for:To succeed in this role, you will have:Tertiary qualification in lawHighly developed communication skills with the ability to build and maintain partnerships based on trust in order to convey and clearly translate technical complex information with internal and external stakeholders.Experience with alternative dispute resolution procedures of Parliamentary, judicial, or legal processes.Demonstrated ability and experience in researching and reviewing legislation, along with developing and implementing policy, and legal support projects.Ability to think operationally to support and manage issues from different areas of an organisation, confidently make decisions, and solve problems.For further information, please refer to our position description which you can access on our careers site.Resolution matters.
