About Us Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a Crisis Support Worker responsible for the provision of end-to-end support for clients engaged through our Domestic & Family Violence Crisis Accommodation program.This role involves providing holistic support for women and children throughout all facets of the client journey from intake to exit, with a strong emphasis on high-quality case management, advice, referral, and advocacy utilizing Specialist Homelessness databases.The Role A key focus of this role is to assist clients who are homeless or at risk of homelessness in accessing safe, affordable, and stable accommodation.Additionally, you will work with clients with complex needs to enhance their skills for sustaining current and future tenancies and improving their overall quality of life.The position aims to help clients overcome barriers contributing to their homelessness or risk of homelessness.Must be flexible to work a rotating roster and available for backfilling shifts when required.This is a PERMANENT POSITION: Part Time Position (21-33 hours per week) based in Toowoomba.Desired Skills and Experience To be successful in the role, you will meet the following criteria: Minimum Certificate III in Community Services or related field Knowledge of and ability to work within relevant legislation and guidelines relating to the delivery of specialist homelessness services Previous experience as a Support Worker or equivalent within the homelessness support sector or related field Ability to deliver advocacy on behalf of clients and ensure confidentiality of client information Ability to work unsupervised at times as well as being an effective team member Contribute positively within a team environment Demonstrate a friendly, positive attitude, with a willingness to learn Effective communication and time management skills Demonstrate genuine respect for all people regardless of their situation Understanding of risk management principles including current WHS legislation and regulations COVID-19 vaccination status is recommended for this role but not a mandatory requirement The successful candidate will be required to hold a current Blue Card #J-18808-Ljbffr
