Brisbane Asset Management Permanent Our client is a leading global asset manager that is looking for a Funds Management BDM in Brisbane. The organisation is looking for a sharp BDM with a proven track record of business development within retail / wholesale funds management distribution. This position is central to the overall distribution team in supporting the execution of the firm’s distribution strategy specifically across the intermediary client segment (Financial planners, wealth managers, family offices and robo advisers). They will be contributing to the achievement of flows, revenue targets, strategic goals, and objectives. This role may also have some management on Business Development Associates, who will be supporting them. This role will also support the Regional Manager and, if required, other areas of the business in the execution of the firm’s distribution strategy. Key Accountabilities and Scope: Support the execution of the broader distribution strategy. Support the regional manager in creation and execution of the regional team strategy. Responsible for providing support for an allocated set of clients and prospects by fielding, responding, and accommodating day to day requests. Lead client meetings and with support of business development associates complete all meeting preparation and follow-up. Provide support of the regional and where required the broader team in achieving individual and team objectives and KPIs specifically around flows, revenue, and client activity. Build and develop significant client relationships with existing clients through calls, appointments, networking, and events. Prospect for new clients through cold calling, appointments, networking, and other means to continually increase business and develop opportunities. Organize and attend client events and entertainment with both existing clients and new prospects. Support key accounts team specifically on execution of national campaigns. Develop good understanding of client’s business, objectives, goals, and market challenges within specific region and ensure information flow and support from the team is consistent. This will be target-driven role where the candidate will be rewarded for meeting and exceeding expectations. Skills and Qualifications Required: Educated to degree level or equivalent. 5 years of industry work experience. Deep knowledge of ETFs and general market structure. Proven success in demonstrating quantitative, analytical and communication (written and verbal) skills – Fluent English. Adept at synthesizing and concisely communicating ideas to various audiences. Ability to make decisions and act quickly in a high-pressure environment. Excellent numeracy skills and exceptional attention to detail. Experience using specialized financial software, such as Bloomberg or Morningstar Direct. This role will pay and attractive base salary, super and performance-based bonus
