The Conducted Energy Device (CED) Program, within the Transit & Public Safety Command, is responsible for equipping frontline police and Protective Service Officers (PSOs) with CEDs through a state-wide deployment over a five-year period. Within the CED Program is the CED Deployment Team, responsible for the deployment preparation and delivery of 6,046 CEDs and ancillary items at all in-scope stations/sites within Victoria, supporting the successful implementation of the program scope and delivering outcomes and benefits that align with Victoria Police's strategic objectives. The CED Program Team is seeking proficient VPS3 Deployment and Logistics Officers, who will report to the CED Deployment Delivery Lead and support the Deployment Project Stream through the administration of logistics associated with the deployment of CEDs and ancillary items. This includes supporting the CED deployment schedule, implementing quality assurance processes, preparing transportation of equipment, and auditing, investigating, and reporting on the condition, status, and location of accountable equipment with oversight from the Deployment Stream Delivery Lead. This role will be diverse, require flexibility, and is likely to involve work across a variety of locations. Your duties will include: Support the implementation of the CED deployment schedule for the CED Program. Support the coordination and management of accountable equipment as required. Support the project team in the logistical movement of CEDs and ancillary items. Support the Deployment Stream management of the state-wide deployment of equipment. Prepare high-quality written and oral reports and correspondence for key project stakeholders. Establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders (internal and external) to create mutually beneficial partnerships essential to the success of the CED deployment schedule. Collaborate within the Deployment Project Stream and across the broader CED Program, including other work streams. As the successful applicant, you will have: Proven and demonstrated asset movement/management system experience and capability. Well-developed interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with an ability to prepare well-written, timely, concise, accurate, and audience-appropriate analytical reports. Ability to work under pressure, including occasionally under very tight timeframes. Experience in identifying and resolving service gaps through the application of sound logistical solutions. Ability to work autonomously on your own initiative and be self-motivated and driven. Ability to identify logistical-related risks and provide advice to effectively mitigate them. Excellent interpersonal skills including negotiation and communication skills. Experience supporting 24x7 operations. Ability to attend, as directed, various work locations across Victoria to support the CED Deployment schedule and ongoing device management of CEDs.
