QBuild is expanding! Join us for an exciting career opportunity as a Senior Procurement Advisor, supporting the QBuild team with effective procurement services, promoting best practices, and enhancing contract performance across the CQ region.
About The Role
You will play a pivotal role in supporting QBuild's ambition to strengthen Queensland's building and construction industry by driving procurement excellence, fostering stakeholder relationships, and ensuring quality and value in all procurement activities.
Duties And Skills Involved
1. Develop and promote procurement best practices and contract performance.
2. Communicate procurement strategies and facilitate changes through training and education.
3. Prepare and call tenders, and manage purchasing activities across various categories.
4. Provide guidance to operational and estimating teams on procurement policies and pricing.
5. Establish relationships with stakeholders to ensure competitive pricing and performance standards.
6. Develop and deliver procurement and contract management training programs.
7. Implement and maintain procurement instructions, procedures, and guidelines.
8. Demonstrate professionalism and contribute to a positive QBuild culture.
Preferred Skills And Experience
1. Expertise in procurement, purchasing, and contract management.
2. Understanding of Queensland Procurement Policy and related legislation.
3. Ability to manage a team and support their professional development.
4. Commitment to continuous improvement and high standards of customer service.
