HEALTH AND PHYSICAL EDUCATION TEACHER
We are seeking a dedicated, passionate and highly engaging Health and Physical Education Teacher to join our College. This is a full-time, temporary position commencing (Term 2), 28 April 2025 until 31 December 2025.
Sacred Heart College has a long-standing history of high performance and achievement in Health and Physical Education (HPE) and Outdoor Education. The successful applicant will demonstrate their ability to support and foster high performance to continue to enhance the HPE team.
Your responsibilities as a HPE Teacher include:
1. The ability to teach Health and Physical Education to students in years 7-10.
2. The ability to support and promote a standard of excellence in Health and Physical Education.
3. The ability to be flexible and adaptable in the implementation of differentiation in the classroom.
4. The ability to effectively manage a Pastoral Care Group (PCG).
5. The ability to work collaboratively to build rapport with students, parents and all College employees to develop respectful, inclusive and positive working relationships.
Selection Criteria
1. The ability to teach Health and Physical Education to students in years 7-10.
2. The ability to participate effectively and collaboratively within the current team.
3. Experience in designing and delivering differentiated units of work.
4. Flexibility and adaptability to respond to a fast-paced working environment.
5. Excellent working knowledge of the current Western Australian Curriculum to develop effective learning outcomes for students.
6. High level of organisational and planning skills to support the College's various sporting competitions.
7. Active participation in extracurricular activities.
8. An awareness and appreciation for the Catholic ethos of the College.
Qualifications Required
1. Undergraduate degree in a specific discipline with a Graduate Diploma of Education (Secondary) or Bachelor of Education.
