This QLD state department is seeking a dynamic and experienced candidate to join their Infrastructure Strategy team. This role will oversee infrastructure planning projects, ensuring they meet future schooling needs across the state. You will also play a vital part in shaping strategies, tools, and policies related to infrastructure planning and asset management, providing high-level advice and guidance to stakeholders across the department.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the planning, analysis, and reporting of infrastructure projects, focusing on the development of new proposals.
* Provide expert advice on infrastructure, asset management, and planning-related systems, policies, and projects.
* Coordinate co-design strategies with a particular focus on engaging Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver successful infrastructure projects and improve processes.
* Develop performance measures to evaluate and report on key infrastructure programs.
* Prepare reports, submissions, briefing notes, and correspondence as required.
* Occasionally travel to remote communities, including remote driving and light aircraft flights.
Successful candidate
* Proven experience managing multiple tasks and working within tight deadlines in an evolving environment.
* Strong knowledge of project and program management methodologies, with experience in leading multidisciplinary teams to achieve strategic goals.
* Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, especially in working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and OneNote.
* Experience with SAP
* Strong budgeting, reporting, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Formal qualifications in project management or built environment disciplines are highly regarded, but not mandatory.
* Strong project and program reporting experience is essential.

* A Blue Card (working with children check) will be required prior to employment.
