This project is based within the Snowy Mountains in NSW and will deliver one of the largest pumped hydro schemes in the world.

Purpose of the Role:
The role of the Risk Manager is to communicate risk policies and processes to the Project and provide hands-on development of risk models and registers with a focus on ensuring that risk management practices are in compliance with the FGJV Contract, meet the Client requirements and are in compliance with corporate instructions from FGJV Partners.
Qualifications:
5. BS in Engineering/Science or other related tertiary qualification
6. Risk management qualification preferred
7. White Card
Experience:
8. Minimum 5-7 years of experience in infrastructure in a similar position
9. Experience in the use of Microsoft, Risk and other project software
10. Experience in facilitating risk workshops
11. Experience in developing and enhancing risk management practices
Required Competencies:
12. Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative risk assessments techniques
13. Proficiency in use of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications
14. Ability to manage effective relationships with the client, subcontractors and internal stakeholders
15. Well-developed time management, organisational, communication and problem-solving skills
16. Ability to adhere to deadlines and targets
17. Exceptional attention to detail
18. Sound negotiation skills
19. Strong collaborative, analytical, critical and logical thinking skills
20. A sound understanding of safety protocols
Core Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
21. Provide expert risk management advice and assistance to the Project.
22. Maintain Project risk register to support accurate risk modelling.
23. Facilitate risk reviews to identify trends, risks, opportunities and promote communication and awareness of the key risks.
24. Assist in establishing and managing project control procedures, including those related to insurance policy requirements.
25. Produce risk-related reports as required in a timely manner to support the effective communication of risk and opportunity status.
26. Conduct training in risk management processes.
27. Influence worker’s behaviours and culture regarding risk management.
28. Maintain records and documents in accordance with FGJV requirements.
29. Build and maintain an appropriate relationship with relevant Client and key stakeholders and subcontract representatives.
30. Collaborate with relevant internal stakeholders regarding insurance claims and settlements.
