The key duties of the position include:The RoleThe Directorate Cyber Security Strategy and Program (DCSSP) is seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic Cyber Security Program Change Specialist with a passion for cyber security, who would like to be part of a team delivering essential improvements to address cyber security across Defence.
General duties include:
Understand change management methodology and support the change management activities;
Provide support to conduct impact analyses, assess change readiness, and identify key stakeholders;
Provide support to track and measure benefits throughout the change lifecycle;
Develop and execute change plans aligned with strategic goals and program objectives;
Contribute to program planning, reporting, governance and assurance activities and champion opportunities to mature;
Develop high quality communication material including program artefacts, executive briefings, and reporting outputs;
Monitor and evaluate change effectiveness through mechanisms and metrics;
Identify and monitor risks and resistance associated with change implementation;
Understand risk management frameworks and technologies and how they relate to Change Management;
Liaise with and respond to stakeholders and multi-disciplinary teams to ensure alignment of change activities;
Support the work across various Program Management activities, including program planning, risk, schedule, benefits management, change management, and program monitoring and control; and
Contribute to change tasks and deliver agreed outcomes in a timely manner.
The successful candidate will be required to commence employment on site, with the possibility of flexible work arrangements in the future.
This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known in Defence as a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP). This enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the base salary otherwise payable under the Defence Enterprise Agreement (DEA), for positions in occupational disciplines/classifications that are critical to Defence capability. About our TeamWithin JCG, the Directorate of CSSP is a small but influential team responsible for the development of the Defence Cyber Security Strategy and delivery of the associated Cyber Security Program. Through this, CSSP provides a critical function in ensuring that Defence maintains a robust and contemporary cyber security posture, which is aligned to support Defence’s strategic direction, and addresses impacts and harnesses opportunities presented by the evolving geo-strategic, cyber threat and technology landscape.
The Directorate of Cyber Security Strategy and Program provides strategic guidance, policy advice and operating principles relating to cybersecurity for Defence. The strategic intent of the Directorate is to enhance Defence's cybersecurity framework and supporting policy. This will enable effective maturity assessment of Defence's cybersecurity capability and in turn, dynamic updates to Defence's Cybersecurity Strategy and Action Plan.
