About the Role
In this pivotal role, you will provide leadership, program development, and implementation of Baptcare's People and Place strategy at the Norlane Community Hub. As the driving force behind this initiative, you will oversee the establishment of an integrated model of health and social supports, ensuring that our services are tailored to the unique needs of the Norlane community.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Implementation: Provide leadership in the design, development, planning, budgeting and implementation of the People and Place strategy at Norlane Community Hub.
2. Operational Activities: Develop, implement, and embed knowledge, systems, and processes to ensure best practice and compliance for sustainable project delivery.
3. Program Development: Design and implement innovative programs and activities that address the diverse needs of the community, with a focus on personal growth, skill development, and social interaction.
4. Research Collaboration: Work collaboratively, support and coordinate research scope with Monash University. Lead, coach and support volunteers, students, and internal staff as relevant.
About You
To excel in this role, you will possess exceptional leadership skills, a deep understanding of community development principles, and a commitment to promoting health equity. A relevant qualification in community services is essential, along with a minimum of 2 years’ experience.

* Strong coordination skills to implement new frameworks model, including application, research and building evaluation.
* Stakeholder management and the ability to build strong, credible relationships with local movements and networks, government associations, business leaders and other relevant stakeholders.
* Excellent communication skills, in written and verbal English.
* Highly impactful influencing, negotiation, persuasion, and problem-solving skills, including capacity to develop trusted relationships with consumers and community.
* Ability to adjust to constantly changing situations while maintaining focus on delivery and follow-through.
* Ability to think strategically, work creatively, effectively and in an innovative manner.
* Excellent project management and report-writing skills.
Knowledge
* Knowledge of capacity building, learning and development activities and how to create a learning and sharing environment.
* Understanding of disadvantage, equity, and access issues for vulnerable communities, building place-based consumer empowerment and knowledge.
* Demonstrated capacity to lead and manage in an area of challenging and complex community needs and systems.
* Demonstrated ability to foster learning, inquiry, and innovation.
* High level of self-awareness and resilience and the ability to manage multiple demands and prioritise accordingly.
* Strong computer skills and use of the full suite of Microsoft Office.
