Elizabeth Gates is an aged care home in a peaceful rural township of the Hunter Valley region, welcoming 35 residents in an intimate community.
Alroy House features two separate households with 24-25 residents each, including a secure Memory Support Unit for people living with dementia. Our Uniting Homemaker ensures the community thrives and engages in meaningful activities.
As a Carer for Hotel services support, you'll provide high-quality hotel services such as cleaning to residents in our aged care home, promoting their independence and improving their quality of life.
Your care work may include:
* Supporting household activities like catering, cleaning, and laundry while prioritizing dignity and independence.
* Paying attention to personal safety and risk management using manual handling techniques and food safety practices.
* Assisting residents in community-based recreational and social activities.
We're looking for someone with:
* A Certificate II in Hospitality or equivalent qualification (or willingness to gain one).
* Previous experience in similar roles (catering/kitchenhand, cleaning, or laundry services) or community care.
* The ability to be adaptable, empathetic, and resourceful, aligning with Uniting's values: compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and bold.
