Staff Specialist – Rural Generalist - Mudgee
We are seeking a Staff Specialist Rural Generalist for Mudgee Health Service. This is an exciting opportunity.
The Rural Generalist position will provide a senior level of clinical and non-clinical services at Mudgee Health Service The Rural Generalist will provide high quality emergency medicine care, inpatient care and outpatient services. You will be able to provie procedural services within the scope of your qualifications and scope of clinical practice. You will have leadership responsibilities for the provision of best practice clinical services, quality and safety across the facility to ensure that the patient’s journey is safe, timely and effective.
Mudgee Health Service has provided enhanced services, facilities and care to patients in a contemporary, integrated building. Services include emergency, operating theatres, a maternity unit, renal dialysis, oncology, dental clinic, mental health, community health, physiotherapy and occupational therapy. 4. Unconditional General and/or Specialist Registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
5. Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and/or Fellowship of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine or other relevant College.
6. Demonstrated experience to undertake basic and advanced medical procedures including Advanced Life Support and able to exercise professional independence.
7. Demonstrated high level skills and involvement in clinical care, supervision, mentoring and teaching.
8. Demonstrated skills and commitment to improvements in clinical care, patient safety and risk management processes, including the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams to achieve change.
9. Demonstrated high level interpersonal communication and team skills, to effectively work with health care and community organisations plus demonstrated capacity to use electronic and IT systems.
10. Evidence of participation in continuing professional development.
11. Demonstrated commitment to the broader service objectives of the public health system, including the effective utilisation of resources and participation in activities beyond direct patient care.
