About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Heavy Rigid (HR) Truck Driver to join a government-led roadworks crew based in Hay, NSW.
The position involves supporting regional infrastructure maintenance and construction by transporting materials and machinery, operating heavy vehicles onsite, and contributing to manual labour activities as part of the broader crew.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate HR trucks for onsite transport of materials and equipment
* Load trucks and safely tow trailers as required
* Assist with road construction and maintenance works as part of a labouring crew
* Complete vehicle checks and basic maintenance pre/post use
* Ensure accurate and timely completion of work records and logbooks
* Work collaboratively with team members to meet project timelines
* Comply with WHS procedures and site safety standards at all times
* Participate in toolbox talks and follow site-specific risk management processes
* Attend training or obtain additional licences and tickets as directed
* Support traffic control operations when accredited
About You
* Current Heavy Rigid (HR) Vehicle Licence (mandatory)
* Valid Construction Industry White Card (mandatory)
* Workzone Operator Framework (WOF) Ticket (mandatory)
* Traffic Control (TC) Tickets – highly regarded
* Proven experience in HR vehicle operation within construction or civil works
* Comfortable performing manual labouring duties in a physically demanding environment
* Ability to tow trailers and handle a range of transport tasks
* Flexible to work away from home when required
* Safety-focused, reliable, and team-oriented
* Willing to undertake further training or tickets as needed
* Must have valid Australian working rights – Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or long-term visa holder
