The Project Officer position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative team within a digital services-focused area. This role involves participating in a range of project management activities, including risk and issue monitoring, project reporting, supporting governance requirements, procurement processes, and budget tracking.
Role Responsibilities
Key duties for this position include:
Deliver project support, ensuring alignment with program strategies and standards, methods, and tools. Assist in planning, tracking, and managing project activities and dependencies. Perform governance-related tasks, including preparing for board meetings, drafting minutes, and tracking action items. Maintain project management tools such as SharePoint, Microsoft Planner, MS Project, and others. Monitor risks and issues, and recommend strategies for resolution. Contribute to project assurance plans, reviews, and health checks. Support procurement processes, including documentation, evaluations, and negotiations. Carry out financial management tasks such as raising purchase orders, processing payments, and tracking budgets. Provide timely communication and advice regarding project deliverables, drawing on professional experience and best practices. Offer high-level advice on policies, legislation, and procedures, including preparing reports and correspondence. Fulfill additional duties specific to the position as required. Preferred Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
While there are no mandatory requirements, the following attributes are highly desirable:
