Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic | Banana Workshop The Role This is an exciting time to join this expanding division in Toll. We are seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic for DIDO or Residential role in our Banana Workshop site on a 7 day on and 7 day off roster. This role is to service our Toll Division who operate facilities in the Central Queensland region. $62.50 per hour full time permanent role Located Banana, Central Queensland Lifestyle roster currently 1 week on and 1 week off DIDO with accommodation supplied, or local candidates considered State of the Art Field service truck provided As a trade qualified Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic, you will bring your extensive experience in servicing and repairs to our fleet, including Light Vehicles, Trucks and Trailers. It is important that you can work unsupervised and are able to work through problems to come up with a solution. The Toll Equipment team are dedicated to upholding Toll Group's commitments and core values on quality, safety and the environment. Key Responsibilities: Diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of mechanical, pneumatic, diesel systems, auto electrical & hydraulic repairs in accordance with requirements detailed on job cards. All general servicing and repair tasks on Light Vehicles, Trucks and Trailers. Working alongside other mechanics and one Apprentice. Maintain quality and urgency in the work performed. Able to work unsupervised and a problem solver. Operate in compliance to the NHVAS scheme. Always maintain a high degree of safety in-line with HSE policies + procedures. Skills & Experience: Proven experience in a similar role or happy to learn. Ability to work a 1 and 1 rotating roster to facilitate our workshop operation. Possess a Trade Qualification as a Heavy vehicle Diesel Mechanic. Good written and verbal communication skills. Previous diagnostic investigation experience. Be a team player, open and honest who consistently delivers an exceptional customer service experience. Ability to work unsupervised. Hold a flexible approach to business commitments. A proven commitment to working safely and compliance with all site safety standards. A pro-active approach to safety to yourself and others. HR License desirable. Benefits: Long term employment.
