Position: APS5 Evaluation Officer
Contract Length: 6 months with a potential extension of up to 24 months
Locations: Brisbane (Queen St) (roles also available in Sydney, Canberra, and Melbourne)
Chandler Macleod is seeking Evaluation Officers to support the Defence Industry Security Branch (DISB).
The DISB manages the Defence Industry Security Program (DISP), supporting industry in meeting their security obligations for Defence tenders, contracts, and projects.
Evaluation Officers will be responsible for supporting the delivery of key DISP activities, ensuring compliance with Defence policies, and maintaining organisational integrity.
The Evaluation Officers will assess and process DISP applications, manage membership entities, and support the DISP Membership System (DMS).
Additionally, Evaluation Officers will respond to external inquiries and handle ad-hoc tasks to support DISB.
Mandatory Requirements:
* The Specified Personnel must be Australian citizens and have an active BASELINE security clearance with the ability to obtain a NEGATIVE VETTING 1 clearance, if requested by DISB.
Primary Services:
1. Application Assessment and Processing:
o Actively work on multiple applications.
o Respond to external inquiries.
o Provide weekly status reports on current applications.
2. Membership Profile Management and Support:
o Complete Annual Security Reports.
o Conduct follow-ups on Assessments.
o Update case tracker as tasks are completed.
o Organise access for members to the Security Officer Portal and Dashboard.
3. Membership System (DMS) and Business Governance Support:
o Assess and process DISP applications.
o Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) to support Final Operating Capability (FOC).
o Act as change advocates for system adoption.
Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Coordination of application processing activities including liaison with dependent functions.
2. Receipt and triage of approximately 30 applications per month.
3. Processing assessment of applications.
4. Management of overdue application responses through the 'Pause, Suspension and Termination' process.
5. Submission and completion of Entity Membership Briefs and the creation of initial Entity Profiles to assist with decision-making for granting of the Membership.
6. Create the client's member record in Objective.
7. Coordinate client's Membership and Entity Profile management.
8. Receipt and triage of client Membership upgrade and downgrade requests.
9. Processing and assessment of client membership upgrades / downgrades.
10. Assessment and management of member ASR and Change in Circumstances.
11. Provision of continuous monitoring of client members to identify 'time-bound' conditions that may impact client Membership.
12. Provision of Entity Profiles to support contracting authorities understanding of risks associated with the content articulated in the Entity Profile.
13. This may include details related to membership level upgrades / downgrades, Change in Circumstances and provisioned details of security incidents.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Proficiency in using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
