Clinical Nurse Specialist Drug & Alcohol - St George
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team at the St George Hospital. The successful candidate will provide senior nursing leadership in the coordination and delivery of community drug and alcohol treatment services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver assessment, treatment, support, crisis intervention, care planning and evaluation of care in line with NSW Health Clinical Care Standards: Alcohol and Other Drug Treatment.
* Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to achieve high-quality patient outcomes.
* Develop and implement clinical management plans to manage complex drug and alcohol clinical care and service delivery issues.
* Exercise extended autonomy of decision making while working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Apply professional and ethical boundaries when dealing with complex situations.
* Develop and facilitate patient and carer education programs.
* Demonstrate high-level written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to identify key messages, issues, and concerns when communicating with others.
Requirements:
* Current registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
* Post-graduate (or working towards) qualifications relevant to drug and alcohol nursing and at least three (3) years clinical experience within the drug and alcohol nursing field.
