About the RoleThe Melbourne School of Psychological Sciences is seeking Senior Tutors to support the delivery of its undergraduate psychology program, working closely with Subject Coordinators to ensure high-quality teaching and an engaging student experience.
Senior Tutors will lead groups of tutors, assist with subject coordination, and create optimal lab class learning environments while contributing to subject delivery and assessment.
This role offers an opportunity to work within a values-driven, innovative academic community committed to collaboration, respect, and excellence in research and teaching.Your responsibilities will include: Teaching and marking and associated academic activities (tutorial preparation and administration) within undergraduate subjectsDouble marking of assignments receiving an N gradePreparation for and management of the tutor briefings in consultation with the relevant lecturer Who We Are Looking ForThe successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication, organisational, and planning skills, coupled with a collaborative approach to working with staff and students.
They are adaptable, receptive to guidance, and proficient with technology and systems essential for academic and administrative tasks.You will also have: An Honours level degree in psychology and enrolment in or completed a postgraduate qualification in Psychology.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Excellent organisational and planning skills.
