About the role
The Senior Lecturer in Nursing position provides an opportunity for the successful applicant to join our dynamic and committed team and contribute to the development of the Nursing courses.
Our Nursing courses are offered in a blended delivery that allows students to study online or on campus. UNE is an industry leader in the provision of lifelong learning for aspiring and registered nurses. Students consistently award UNE the maximum 5-star ratings for Overall Experience and Student Support in The Good Universities Guide.
The Bachelor of Nursing course on-campus and online modes have a particular emphasis on contemporary nursing practices, as well as Nursing in rural and remote communities. They are designed around an interactive learning approach to equip students for the challenge of being agents of change in the 21st century.
The role involves teaching students in Nursing courses, as well as engaging in service activities as part of a dynamic team of nursing academics. This position may be required to travel to other UNE campuses.
About you
As a Senior Lecturer in Nursing you will promote and provide leadership to the discipline of Nursing through active engagement in teaching, scholarship and research. You will also be responsible for developing and enhancing links between the University and the wider nursing community at international, national, state and local levels.
About the School
The School of Health within the Faculty of Medicine and Health offers undergraduate programs, as well as postgraduate coursework and research programs in Nursing, Community Services, Social Work, Counselling, Mental Health, Public Health (One Health) and Health Management.
