One of our clients in Federal Government have multiple requirements for Engineers (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Systems) for long term contracts in Adelaide
MUST HAVE: Due to project requirement, only Australian Citizens with minimum Negative Vetting security clearance will be considered
The Australian Radioactive Waste Agency (ARWA) is leading the responsible management and safe storage and disposal of Australia's radioactive waste. A key element of ARWA's program is the delivery of the National Radioactive Waste Management Facility which will provide a purpose-built, engineered solution to manage radioactive waste from sources such as nuclear medicine production.
At ARWA, our dynamic, multidisciplinary team has a unique opportunity to drive the future of Australia's expertise in safe and secure radioactive waste management, to protect people and the environment for generations to come. Our people come from diverse backgrounds, nationalities, and cultures. These differences bring a set of challenges in terms of blending different cultures and different preferred methods of working, and it is these differences that will enhance the delivery of our complex technical work. Our people have the experience and skills to put ARWA at the forefront of the global nuclear waste management field as we aim to deliver a world class facility for Australia.
Nuclear Literacy
Radioactive waste exists in many locations around the country, including hospitals, science facilities and universities. While these locations maintain safety measures, they were not specifically designed for long-term waste management, making their continued use unsustainable. Therefore, the construction and operation of a dedicated facility is needed. The facility will safeguard the future of Australia's nuclear medicine industry and nuclear research capabilities. ARWA will continue foster a culture of safety and security by demonstrating international best practice and work to increase nuclear literacy in Australia through education and awareness.

The incumbent will work across ARWA programs and will be required to research and synthesise complex information, develop, analyse, test and interpret technical requirements and provide technical advice, knowledge and recommendations.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Provide expert technical input and engineering advice into various technical design concepts.
2. Site surveys and investigations, facility design; including site specific design, concept designs, schematic design, preliminary designs, and Class 3 cost estimates.
3. Enabling infrastructure site specific design; including transport, communications, power, and water.
4. Procurement of expert advice in operational flow model and costs to develop this core capability within ARWA.
5. Development of the scope of services and advising on technical requirements for procurement activities relating to the technical program of works.
