We have two Senior Front-End Developer roles across the Customer Journey, being Discovery & Checkout. As a Senior Front-End Developer, you’ll play a crucial role in crafting high-performing, responsive, and visually compelling web experiences that drive customer engagement and elevate brand perception. Situated within one of the customer journey teams within Digital Product, you will lead the development and implementation of innovative front-end features and UI components across CRG's web channels. Leveraging modern frameworks such as React.js and deployment tools like Vercel, and managing content component creation with platforms like Contentful, you’ll ensure our digital touchpoints are intuitive, accessible, and aligned with each brand’s vision. This role requires a keen eye for design, a strong understanding of best practices in front-end development, and the ability to collaborate with CRO Developers within the team. Your work will be instrumental in delivering optimised user journeys that meet both trade objectives and enhance the overall digital customer experience. Key Accountabilities Front-End Development Develop and implement front-end features for websites using React.js, ensuring responsiveness, cross-browser compatibility, and optimal performance. Collaborate with design and product teams to translate wireframes and mockups into interactive, user-friendly interfaces. Optimize web applications for maximum speed and scalability, leveraging tools like Vercel for deployment and continuous integration. Conduct thorough testing of developed features to identify and resolve any bugs or issues, ensuring a seamless user experience across devices and platforms. Collaboration and Integration Work closely with back-end engineers to integrate front-end components with server-side logic, APIs, and databases. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to brainstorm and implement innovative solutions to complex technical challenges. Work with User Experience and Experimentation teams to deliver continuous conversion improvements via the conversion rate optimization program. Work with the Digital SEO team to help drive optimal organic search performance. Work with the Data Analysis team to implement analytics and tracking data events, and to report on feature performance, making recommendations for improvements based on results. Key Capabilities Strong proficiency in front-end web development using React.js and related technologies (such as GraphQL, etc.). Experience with Vercel or similar deployment platforms for hosting and scaling web applications. Solid understanding of web standards, responsive design principles, and front-end performance optimization techniques. Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, with a keen eye for detail and design aesthetics Proficiency in CMS development, particularly on the Contentful platform, including content modeling, API integrations, and content delivery setup. Strong proficiency in version control systems (e.g., Git) and modern development workflows (e.g. Agile, Scrum).\ Experience referencing and matching Design files to create functional web pages and experiences (e.g. InVision, Figma, etc.). Experience with server-side rendering (SSR) and/or static site generation (SSG) using frameworks like Next.js. Passion for user-centred design and a demonstrated ability to advocate for the user throughout the development process. Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset, with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage time in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Demonstratable experience collaborating closely with stakeholders across multiple functions/ departments. Why work for CRG?
