About the role
1. Facilitate education and training of undergraduate, intern, general level and senior pharmacists in clinical pharmacy practice.
2. Contribute to practice and service development, innovation and activities that improve medicines management for patients accessing Pharmacy services, and that are aligned to organisational goals, professional, legislative and ethical standards.

Education:
3. Promote a culture of continuous education, learning and skills development for undergraduate, intern, general level and senior hospital pharmacists.
4. Contribute to clinical research activities within the Pharmacy work unit.
5. Directly provide clinical education in the workplace and in workshop, tutorial and small group settings to all disciplines.
6. Participate in the continued development and implementation of pharmacist training programs within Queensland Health.
Clinical Practice:
7. Where required, deliver high level clinical Pharmacy services within the rostered Pharmacy area and to the allocated multidisciplinary clinical unit/team in accordance with prescribed professional, legislative and ethical standards.
8. Where required, apply professional judgement to a complex caseload, using an evidence-based approach to adapt routine clinical practice and support the continuum of care
Communication / Team Participation:
9. Provide sound, high level advice and assistance to clinical staff for evidence-based evaluation of new medicine therapies.
10. Work cooperatively and effectively with multidisciplinary teams within and external to pharmacy, and with patients/carers, and actively participate and provide high level advice within this multidisciplinary environment
Leadership / Work Unit Management :
11. Provide clinical practice supervision and clinical education to Pharmacy practitioners to ensure the maintenance of professional clinical standards within the Pharmacy service
