As a member of our Repair Line team you will be responsible for:
Machining of previously manufactured parts that are in the process of repair to restore specific features to acceptable limits with respect to size and position relative to existing part features as defined in the repair process documentation.Assist with engineering the creation of repair work scopes for specific parts including the sequence of operations and tooling requirements.Manufacturing of tooling, jigs and fixtures in accordance with detailed manufacturing drawings.Manufacture of small components (sleeves, etc.) in accordance with detail parts drawings.Machinists are required to perform regular cleaning and maintenance of the machines in their care and to ensure that the work areas are maintained clean and free of chips and machine cuttings as far as is practical and ensure TPM is carried out as required.Ensure tool control is maintained as per procedures (to include equipment asset inventory)Establish and maintain positive working relationships with all departments at all levels.Prepare components that require protective coatings by use of blasting machines, de-greasing and masking.Application of protective coatings including treatment of bare metal, painting, varnish and Sermetal coatings by spray application.Oversee and ensure all documentation (electronic or hard copy) is signed off/stamped as tasks are completed progressively.Responsible for seeking opportunities to increase personal effectiveness, planning, development and training with their supervisor.Other duties as directed and required to ensure the department remains efficient and on schedule.Qualifications/Experience Certificate III or equivalent qualificationAt least 4 years experience in a manual machinist role Require an understanding of geometric tolerance and must be able to read and understand a CMM report. Must be proficient in the use of standard measuring instrumentsMust be able to understand and use all applicable documentation with regard to the machine shop.Attention to detailBe a self starter and quick learnerStrong focus and high commitment to workplace health and safety
