Motel Manager and Chef WantedWe are seeking an experienced and reliable Motel Manager and Chef to manage our 4-star, 28-unit motel in Hay. The ideal candidate will have a diploma level qualification in Hospitality, at least 2 years of experience in a busy kitchen, and excellent communication skills.Duties and Responsibilities: Plan and organize food preparation and cooking in a high-volume restaurant.Work within budgeted food and labor costs.Set daily prep levels and order food supplies.Monitor the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation.Discuss and manage food preparation issues with kitchen staff.Train and demonstrate kitchen techniques and procedures to staff.Prepare and cook food to a high standard.Maintain cleaning standards and food safety compliance.Manage food storage and inventory. Requirements: Diploma level qualification in Hospitality or similar.At least 2 years of full-time work experience in a busy kitchen.Excellent communication skills.Food Safety Supervisor Certification.Proficient numeracy and literacy.Salary $75,000 to $85,000. This is a dual role requiring: Motel management experience of a similar scale.Experience with Siteminder booking system or similar.Supervising staff and activities such as reception, room service, and housekeeping.Compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
