Job Title: Youth Services Librarian
We are seeking a passionate and forward-thinking Youth Services Librarian to join our dynamic team at the Haymarket Gainesville Library. This role is best suited to a creative individual with strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude who can design programs for children, teens, and families.

About This Role:
* Assists with planning and conducting library programs and collaborates with staff to present weekly story times, programs, tours, and outreach for youth of all ages and their families.
* Provides information and circulation help, reader's advisory, and technology assistance to patrons of all ages at public service desks.
* Maintains Children's and Teen collections, ensuring they are up-to-date and relevant to the community's needs.
* Creates engaging displays and promotional materials to promote the library's physical collection and online resources in support of youth programming.
* Represents Prince William Public Libraries at outreach events, fostering partnerships and promoting the library's services.
Requirements:
* Master's degree in Library and Information Science.
* Experience planning and conducting successful library programs for children and teens.
* Proven ability to provide reader's advisory services to children, teens, and families.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
* Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
Work Schedule:
This is a full-time position, working 37.5 hours per week. The schedule includes days, one evening per week, and rotating Saturdays. The Haymarket Gainesville Library operates Monday through Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Thursday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
