Kojonup District High School (DHS) is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated English and Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS) teacher to join our friendly team.
We are looking for an outstanding classroom practitioner who understands the District High school context and is a passionate and committed educator.
This role requires an understanding of explicit teaching strategies and differentiating the curriculum to cater for the individual needs of students within a whole school framework. Successful applicants will be student and relationship focused, innovative and motivated, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. They will engage in ongoing self-reflection to assess the effectiveness of their teaching practice and embrace the integration of Information and communications technology (ICT) to create an environment conducive to learning. The successful applicant will possess the ability to make informed decisions based on student performance data and will be able to provide relevant and timely feedback to improve student outcomes.
Applicants who have experience in trauma informed practice and who have proven skills in engaging secondary students are sought. Flexibility and the ability to foster relationships with parents and carers as well as colleagues and students, is seen as vital to ongoing success in this role.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
