About You :
Tertiary Degree in Disaster/Emergency Management, Business, Marketing/Communications or a related discipline.
Demonstrated experience in relationship management, marketing or communications, preferably experience working within the not-for-profit sector or volunteer based organisations.
Position Summary :
The purpose of this role is to manage GIVIT’s service agreement with the NSW Government to ensure all contractual obligations are met, raise GIVIT's profile in NSW, build relationships with government agencies, support organisations, corporate and community donors, and drive and secure donations and funding to meet disaster recovery and support organisation needs. This is a highly autonomous role, requiring a very independent, motivated, self-starter with a determination to ensure GIVIT is a success in NSW and make a real difference to people in need.
Key Requirements :
In this role you will:
• Report to the National Manager based in HQ, Brisbane.
• Establish and maintain strong and effective relationships with state and local government, recovery agencies, charity networks and corporate donors.
• Excellent communication with charities and community organisations across NSW to build their capacity to meet the needs of their clients.
• Be a GIVIT portal platform expert to ensure efficient donation flow including training and education to our charity and community partners.
• Lead GIVIT's small NSW team.
• Ensure you meet all agreed service level agreements including key performance measures and all reporting obligations.
• Act as media spokesperson, as required, and represent GIVIT in a variety of settings, including media opportunities, public forums, events and conferences.
Skills and experience you possess:
• Key stakeholder relations are your thing! You love navigating your way within state and local governments, recovery agencies, charities, corporates and local communities forming long term collaborative and effective partnerships.
• Exceptional administration and reporting skills, you know the importance of outstanding, accurate admin and timely reports.
• Show us your proven capacity in planning, implementing, reviewing and achieving goals and objectives.
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain composure in fast paced and rapidly changing work environments.
• Ideally you will have tertiary qualifications and/or experience in Emergency Management (Recovery), Business or related discipline.
• Due to travel requirements, candidates must have a current and valid driver's licence and their own vehicle.

• Regular travel across NSW and to HQ in Brisbane
