About the Role
The purpose of the Small Business Specialist role is to predominantly support new and existing small business customers who visit the designated branch via leaders, or via other referral channels. Small Business Specialists will provide full lending and working capital solutions to help customers start, run and grow their business.

What will your day look like?
This role is accountable for:
1. Being the key commercial contact for your allocated branch, ensuring you are present and collaborative.
2. Providing excellent customer service and solutions to a broad range of business customers.
3. Providing appropriate solutions to customers.
4. Building and maintaining strong internal and external networks
5. Meeting and exceeding performance targets
6. The F2F collaboration with ABN
7. Engaging in outbound customer calls to engage with existing customer and discover additional customer needs.
8. The F2F engagement with the local community, including building and maintaining a Circle of Influence

11. Customer Solutioning: Supporting customers by understanding their needs and informing them about relevant products or services, and/or providing considered options, that meet those needs.
12. Delivery Management: The practice of initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and embedding an initiative, product, program, campaign, process, procedure, or change to achieve a set of objectives or outcomes (for customers, employees, the organisation and/or the market). This includes identifying, tracking, resolving and managing dependencies.
13. Credit Analysis: The ability to assess a customer's ability to fulfill their credit obligations, considering both qualitative and quantitative factors such as character, capital, capacity to repay, collateral (security) and conditions (the 5Cs of credit).
14. Knowledge of small business operations, lending and transaction banking and working capital solutions.
15. Proficient in credit assessment and management.
16. Fulfilment: The end-to-end execution of a process, or part thereof, to achieve a customer or end user outcome.
17. Financial acumen: Knowledge of financial terminology, financial statements (such as Profit and Loss, balance sheets and cashflow statements) and the principles behind financing in order to be able to evaluate the impact of a business decision.
18. Knowledge of lending and cashflow needs and solutions.
