About the Role
Reporting to the ED Nurse Manager, you will take on a leadership role in providing hands-on educational support and clinical teaching/facilitation to emergency nurses. You will promote a high standard of evidence-based nursing care to all patients, through dissemination of current best practice knowledge. In addition, you will also ensure staff compliance with annual Mandatory Training and completion of eLearning components.
In this role, you will also attend relevant policy & procedure meetings, daily department huddles, weekly leadership meetings, and bi-monthly Education Meetings.
The ED at the Northern Beaches is a 50 bed capacity Level 5 ED that services a population of over 250,000 people.
Northern Beaches Hospital is a 488 bed Level 5 facility that is privately owned and operated but also treats public patients.
ED presentations are approximately 70,000 per year and 35% are admitted. Approximately 25% of our presentations are paediatric.
Your experience:
* Current AHPRA Registration
* 5 years post graduate Emergency Nursing experience and skilled competency in all ED nursing roles (triage, resuscitation, advanced nurse practice, paediatrics, adult)
* Post Graduate Certificate or Diploma in Emergency Nursing
* Educator, Clinical Nurse Specialist or leadership experience in ED
* Demonstrated experience in eLearning platforms
* High degree of computer literacy including MS Office
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF – NSW Nurses and Midwives’ – Enterprise Agreement 2020 – 2024, a salary ranging from $51.17 - $52.86 per hour.
