About the opportunity:
We are looking for multiple Assistants in Nursing for our Mortdale team. We need two permanent part-time on a 26-hour to 36-hour fortnightly schedule. The rate is from $27.52/hr + superannuation + salary packaging.
*Pay rates are determined by the total number of hours worked as an assistant in nursing.*
Role Requirements:
* Experience in Manual Handling (hoist experience ) and repositioning is highly regarded.
* Medication Administration: Administer medications as prescribed by the physician and ensure proper documentation of medication records.
* Demonstrated experience in PEG feeding, stoma care, epilepsy management, challenging behaviours and Dysphagia training/experience.
* Flexibility to work on a 24/7 rotating roster, weekends, is a must.
* Great communication skills, can follow and implement strict routines and an understanding of specific needs.
Typical duties might include:
* Supporting customers to develop and maintain independence.
* Supporting customers with personal care, including bowel care, manual handling using various equipment and aids and other health and hygiene needs such as feeding, medication, dressing, toileting and showering.
* Undertaking various household tasks, including mealtime management and aids, and other health and hygiene needs such as feeding, medication, dressing, toileting, and showering.
* Keeping records and reporting to the Enrolled Nurse or Registered Nurse on shift.
Pre-Employment Requirements:
* Certificate III in Aged Care
* Valid working rights
* A current Driver's Licence and confidence to drive an accessible van.
* NSW Working with Children Check NSW & Blue Card QLD
* NDIS Worker Check
* Current First Aid and CPR certificate
* Health Assessment
