Overview of the NSW Biostatistics Training Program
Kick-start your career in biostatistics by joining the highly regarded NSW Biostatistics Training Program. This unique, three-year, workplace-based program provides hands-on experience in biostatistics and the opportunity to make a real impact in public health. As a Trainee Biostatistician, you'll gain specialist skills, learn from experts in the field, and earn a Master of Biostatistics degree from the University of Sydney.
Responsibilities
* You will gain experience in biostatistics through supervised work placements in a range of locations within the NSW health system and complete a Master of Biostatistics degree part-time through the University of Sydney.
Requirements
* You must meet the entry requirements for a Master of Biostatistics at the University of Sydney. This requires holding a bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics, science, psychology, medicine, pharmacy, economics, health sciences or other appropriate qualification with a minimum credit average mark of 65% or equivalent.
* You must have an aptitude for advanced mathematical work, demonstrated through work experience and/or study.
* You must have high-level knowledge of statistical concepts and methods.
* You must have extensive experience in the use of statistical software packages.
* You must be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the traineeship. You must be an Australian Citizen or permanent resident or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport, or a citizen of another country with an appropriate visa that allows you to work in Australia.

* A full academic transcript for your qualification(s) which includes details of units undertaken and grades obtained
* Evidence of your right to work in Australia for the duration of the traineeship (e.g. Australian or New Zealand passport or Australian birth certificate, citizenship certificate, or permanent residency visa). You must provide this even if you were born in Australia and/or you are a current NSW Health employee.
