What you'll be doing
The Revenue Clerk (Debt Collection) works as part of the Debt Recovery Team, within the Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD) Revenue Service. The position is responsible for providing a high standard of timely accounts receivable administrative support, customer service, debt recovery follow-up, record management, account write-off/adjustment preparation, assisting with receipting functions and other general clerical duties required within the team.
Overall the position assists the Revenue Service to maximise, timely patient fee collection. More detailed position responsibilities are outlined in the key accountabilities section.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

2. Certificate III in Business Administration or Accounting (or equivalent qualification relevant to the position) or equivalent experience
3. Minimum of 2 years' experience in an accounts receivable capacity including debtors' collection administration and journal preparation. Well-developed time management and administrative skills with proven capacity to give attention to detail and maintain a high level of accuracy, even when working under pressure.
4. Excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills including good telephone manner, confidence in the spoken word and an ability to deal courteously and professionally with a variety of people, who may at times be distressed. Good written communication skills including, accurate spelling, good comprehension and correspondence writing skills.
